Rainforest Conservation Program

Malaysia’s rich biodiversity is threatened by intensive farming, land development, and illegal logging, among other factors. Learn first-hand about this problem, local efforts to reforest the area, and how local tribes rely on this resource for their ways of life. 

Prepare to be immersed in the ecological and cultural richness of Malaysia. Through project work and close relationship with the indigenous Batek tribe, participants gain first-hand insight into sustainability, biodiversity, and environmental stewardship, all aligned with some key UN Sustainable Development Goals. Beyond service, our participants will engage in fun, enriching activities like river tubing and limestone caving, fostering resilience, teamwork, and global awareness. This guided program includes pre- and post-trip seminars if desired, ensuring participants return not only inspired but with a deeper understanding of their impact on the world.
